Don't get even ... get OZMaD

Greetings and welcome to the opening post for the latest Adobe usergroup ... the Australian Adobe Mobile and Devices Usergroup - or OZMaD.

I'm your host Guy Smiley ... ahh ... I mean Dale Rankine. You may know me from other such websites such as Moket, FlashMobileGroup or the Flash Lite Yahoo List. I've been hoping to be able to start something for those developers in Australia who are interested in Flash Lite on mobile phones and devices for some time. After speaking with the Adobe guys it seemed like a good time, as things are well and truely picking up pace in the Flash Lite world.

I'm excited to be part of this "revolution" and hope to be able to provide a user group experience that will help, support and excite developers in the mobile space.

We're going to announce the details of our first meeting shortly. Right now we're just keen to find out who is out there and is wanting to be part of the group. I'm hoping to make it focussed on Australia although I'll be opening the group to overseas members, as the Boston group does now. We'll certainly be using Breeze Live quite a bit to deliver content and presentations from speakers around the world and to record and publish OZMaD meetings that we conduct locally.

So ... if you're in Australia and want to be part of this new group, please drop me a line at ozmad@moket.com.au - and of course if you're overseas and want in, do the same :)
