August Meeting Postponed
Due to circumstances beyond my control, tonight's meeting has been postponed. Our next meeting will be the 25th of September and will be the "Show and Tell" event we had planned for tonight. Apologies for the late notice, hope you can all make the next one. This will give you all some more time too for pulling together some material for the show and tell - I've got some cool stuf from my recent trips to show from guys in different regions around the world.
"Show and Tell" on August 28
Hey everyone,
Our next OZMaD meeting will be on Monday the 28th of August, and this month we're going to have "Show and Tell". The idea is to bring along Flash Lite apps and content that you have been working on and want to share with the group. Of course, this needs to be content you're ALLOWED to show other people - we don't want any broken NDA's or anything like that!
It'll be a good opportunity for the group to see the kinds of things that are happening out there, as well as for developers to maybe ask some questions and get some help of certain aspects they're having trouble with. We'll have facilities to show mobile content on the phone via Bluetooth onto the data projector, making it easy to see for everyone.
It may be a short night depending on who comes and who brings what ... so we'll also have some Flash mobile news and announcements to share, plenty of food and beverages, plus the regular RSVP-for-schwag giveaways. This month though (to encourage you a little more to make it), we have a copy of Flash Professional 8 Hands On Training from Peach Pit ... OR ... a copy of Flash 8 Essentials from Apress/Friends of Ed (your choice) to add to the mix. These are both great texts for guys learning the ins and outs of the Flash authoring environment.
